About Me

Hello there! Welcome to www.newjerseyonlinecasinos.info! I’m Matt Richards and I’m the main author of this website. If you’re here, reading this, the chances are high that something has sparked your hunger for gambling knowledge and you want to know more. Now that we have something in common, it’s only right for me to tell you a little bit about myself and what made me start this project.

I grew up in the calm Glen Rock of Newark. There wasn’t much to do in the suburbs besides going out with friends every once in a while. As I was growing up, I started to pay attention more and more to what my father was reading in the newspaper with his coffee every morning. I was a curious kid. I developed a habit of waking up earlier than everybody, just to be the first one to get their hands on the newspaper.

I loved reading. At the time, there was no internet, and besides radio and TV, the only enriching way to understand what goes on in the world was newspapers and magazines. I was expanding my dictionary with every single day. When I was 15, I wrote my first article for our local newspaper. Voluntarily, of course. Sometime later, I enrolled at Rutgers University with Journalism and Media Studies. I wanted to improve my writing, it was, and still is, my passion. My student years were fantastic. I remember what first got me into writing about gambling. On my 21st birthday, some of my fellow students took me out to a casino for the first time. I was awed and astonished.

Imagine a bookworm going into a gambling hall for the first time, diving into the atmosphere of pure thrill and excitement. Needless to say, I tried my luck with a tenner, and I got about $30 back. My spark was ignited. When I got back home, I immediately started writing about my experience. I still have it on paper somewhere at home – my first gambling article. It was named something along the lines of “Casino – How I Tripled My Cash”, yes, at the time, I was all about writing attractive and bait-y headlines. I was still a journalism-student, after all.

The joy of that night didn’t leave me for weeks. I started studying the origins of the games, the new variations, the companies behind them, the return to player (RTP) rates, and more! I wanted to know everything about the odds and the jackpots. I started watching movies and reading reviews about casinos and practicing my writing at the same time. During that time, I started applying to online casinos so that I could write their blogs. After two months of active applications and writing, I was finally hired.

I worked as an editor in the online casino, and I wrote over 470 articles for them and their partners in the span of one year. In that time, I understood what makes a great online platform and how to recognize a bad one from miles. I learned all the trade tricks that various operators use – from the big and flashy bonuses to the small prints in their terms and so much more that I’d like to share with you. During my work there, even though what I was writing was heavily biased, I’ve probably saved thousands, no, tens of thousands headaches and dollars for the blog readers.

Why I started this project? I wanted to write independently. I wanted to write unbiased articles that would help gamblers find the best bang for their buck. Shady casinos are lurking everywhere, waiting to lure you in into their trap. In www.newjerseyonlinecasinos.info, I’ll be sharing everything I know about online casinos. I’ll be giving you my personal recommendations, strategies, and tips. Being here, you should be able to increase your odds of making the right decision and cashing out big. I’ll help you stay away from disastrous casinos, and I’ll teach you everything I know about gambling. I’m all about giving it back to the people. Stick around. That is just the tip of the iceberg.
